This painting is about how the seasons effect us. I normally get a very strong feeling of nostalgia and some beautiful sadness during the autumn months. The smells of the falling leaves, walking to the first day of school, the vast change of the landscape as winter approaches. Most people see this as being about the stoned chip theory where chimps ate psychedelic mushrooms which is what triggered out evolution into consciousness. Either applies! It's all up for interpretation.
